GITAM University will conduct its online GITAM Admission Test, GAT2011 from April 16 - May 5, 2011, at 20 centers across the India. The test for admission into 10 branches of B.Tech., B.Arch., and M.Tech. In B.Tech. branches, biotechnology is being offered on the Visakhapatnam campus and aeronautical engineering on the Hyderabad campus. Test centers:
GAT 2011 online test would be conducted at Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Delhi, Guntur, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jamshedpur, Kanpur, Kolkota, Kurnool, Kota, Nagpur, Patna, Rajahmundry, Raipur, Tirupati, Vijayawada, Warangal and Visakhapatnam. Candidate can choose test center and date and would know the score immediately after completing the test. The GAT 2011 results would be announced on May 12.
Eligibility:
Students who passed Intermediate or 12th class in 2010 or appearing for 2011 can apply, 60% aggregate marks with MPC combination is the eligibility, while those with BPC combination can apply for biotechnology branch and B. Pharmacy. Admission will be based on the marks scored by a candidate in GAT-2011.
Applications:
The notification with complete details has been placed on GITAM University website and the application can be downloaded. The filled-in application sent on or before March 15 along with a DD for Rs. 1,000 (Rs. 600 in case of girl candidates) from any scheduled bank, drawn in favour of GITAM University and payable at Visakhapatnam. http://www.gitam.edu/
