ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: A bachelor's degree of 10+2+3 pattern with 50% marks in aggregate or in Honours/Major subject (if any) from the Gauhati University or any other recognised University (not through Distance mode). The Information Bulletin containing Application Form can be obtained against cash payment of Rs.800/- for General/OBC Category and Rs. 450/- for Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe Category from any of 177 specified branches of Canara Bank situated in the different part of the country.
There are two ways to apply for AIPMT 2011: Offline and Online.

Offline

Offline submission of Application may be made on the prescribed Application Form. The Information Bulletin and Application Form costing Rs.800/- for General/OBC Category and Rs.450/- for SC/ST category can be obtained against Cash Payment from the designated branches of Canara Bank/Regional Offices of the CBSE between 20-10-2009 to 27-11-2009. Information Bulletin and Application Form can also be obtained by Post from the Board by sending a written request with a Demand Draft for Rs.850/- for General/OBC Category and Rs.500/- for SC/ST Category payable to the Secretary, Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi along with a Self Addressed Envelope of size 12″ x 10″. The request must reach to the Board on or before 18-11-2009. The request should be superscribed as “Request for Information Bulletin and Application Form for AIPMT-2010″.

Online

Online submission of application may be made by accessing the Board’s website www.aipmt.nic.in from 20-10-2009 (10.00 A.M.) to 27-11-2009 (5.00 P.M.). Instructions for sending online application, payment of fee and computer generated printout are available on the Board’s website.
Fee of Rs.800/- for General/OBC Category Candidates and Rs.450/- for SC/ST Category Candidates may be remitted in the following ways:

Interested candidates should register their names for BITSAT-2011 by applying in the prescribed application form online.  Complete the application form Online at http://www.bitsadmission.com and take the print out of the filled form. The completed application form alongwith the prescribed fees of Rs. 1000/- (Rs. 500/- for female candidates) should be sent to Admissions Officer, BITS, Pilani – 333 031.
Special provision for Female candidates: The BITSAT application fee for female candidates is Rs. 500/- only instead of Rs. 1000/-. Further, the Institute will try its best to accommodate all female candidates at their first preference of test centers.

Those who register for the test and reserve test dates have to download the ‘Hall ticket’, alongwith instructions, from BITS website as per the schedule given earlier. The tests will be conducted during        10^th May – 10^th June 2011.

Procedure:

In addition to applying for and appearing in BITSAT-2011, candidates have to also apply for admission to BITS giving details of their 12^th marks and preferences to different degree programmes offered. The prescribed application form for admission, the detailed application procedure and the final list of Degree programmes offered will be available at the BITS website, by 20^th May 2011. Advertisement will be released in all leading dailies during April / May of the year for admission to various programs and entrance examination will be conducted during the month of June. Admission to this program will be on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination. Candidates, on the basis of the merit list, will be called for counseling at SRM University for final Admission.

Postgraduate Programs

MDS, MPT, MOT, M.Pharmacy, Pharm.D, M.Sc Nursing, MPH, MBA - MPH (Dual Degree), M.Sc in Human Anatomy, Human Physiology, Medical Biochemistry, Medical Microbiology, Biostatistics and Epidemiology. Advertisement will be released in all leading dailies during December / January of the year for admission to various programs and entrance examination will be conducted during the last week of January. Admission to this program will be on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination. For MBA and PGPM Programs

• Admission to MBA and PGPM programs will be on the basis of performance in the All India Entrance Test conducted by SRM University. Candidates with a valid score in CAT/ MAT can also apply for admission.
• Candidates, on the basis of the merit list, will be called for group discussion and a personal interview at SRM University for final Admission.

For PGPRM Program

Admission to PGPRM program will be on the basis of past academic performance and professional experience. Qualified candidates will be called for group discussions and a personal interview at SRM University and selection will be made.

For Ph.D Program

The regulations pertaining to Ph.D program will be available in our website. Based on the information given in it, applications will be called for twice in a year and admission will be offered based on the recommendations of the Doctoral Committee constituted for the purpose.

For B.Tech. Program

• Admission to the B.Tech program will be purely on the basis of performance in the All India Engineering Entrance Examination of SRM University (SRMEEE) subject to minimum aggregate of 60% marks in Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry or Biology, Physics and Chemistry in the qualifying examination.
• Candidates, on the basis of the merit list, will be called for counseling at SRM University for final Admission.

For B.Arch. Program

• Admission to B.Arch. program will be based on the aggregate of marks secured in the qualifying examination and in the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA).
• Admission would be offered purely on the basis of the merit list by giving equal weightage to aggregate of marks secured in qualifying examination and to NATA score.

For B.Des. Program

• Admission to B.Des. program will be purely on the basis of performance in the Higher Secondary examination. Candidates short listed based on their Higher Secondary marks will be offered admission directly.

For M.Tech. Program

• Admission to M.Tech program will be on the basis of performance in the All India Engineering Entrance Examination of SRM University (SRMEEE). Candidates with valid GATE score can also apply for admission.
• Candidates, on the basis of the merit list, will be called for counseling at SRM University for final Admission.

For M.Arch Program

• Admission to M. Arch program will be on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination, professional experience and performance in the interview.
