Admission Notification for Ph.D Programmes - June, 2010
Candidates should have a minimum CGPA of 6.75 (or 60% marks) for General, 6.25 (or 55%
marks) for SC/ST, 5.75 (or 50% marks) for physically handicapped (PH) candidates on a 10 point scale
in the qualifying examination and should also have qualified GPAT/GATE/NET. Percentage of marks or
CGPA shall be calculated taking the aggregate scored by the candidate in all years or as per the norms
of the concerned university/Institute etc. 5% of seats in all programmes are available for candidates
sponsored by Public/Private sector undertakings, Govt. Departments/R&D organisations with minimum
of 2 years experience. GPAT/GATE/NET is an essential qualification for all disciplines except for the
following category of candidates:-
i. Candidates holding M.V.Sc. / M.D. degree
ii. Foreign nationals
Steps for Online Registration:
1) Kindly ensure that you are using only Internet Explorer 7.0 or later to fill this form. Also ensure
that there is no local firewall or other local technical issue preventing you from using online
forms.
2) Please go to the website www.niper.gov.in. You will find link for Admission notification,
Information Brochure as well as a link for Online Registration. Click on Admission notification
link to see the details, click to download Information Brochure.
3) Click on “Register Online” to apply for Ph. D program. Click on “Registration for Ph.D
Program” to register Online.
4) You would be able to create a login account, fill in the application, and save/review the filled-in
information before final submission.
5) Forgot Password: Option will help to retrieve the forgotten password only through the
registered e-mail address provided in the registration form and you should have filled the
registration form.
