M.Sc.Chemistry in University of Hyderabad

Hyderabad Central University, Andhra Pradesh popular as HCU, conducts objective multiple choice entrance exam and Interview for admission to M.Sc. Chemistry. Written test will consist of two parts. Questions will be asked from Chemistry and Mathematics. Chemistry questions will be in the standard of Graduation and Math questions will test basic mathematical skills of the candidates. There will be negative marking for wrong answers. So, better avoid questions which you are not sure of correct answer. The two parts of the exam are:
1. Part – I: There will be 25 questions
2. Part- II: There will be 75 questions
Try to collect as many old / previous year question papers as possible to understand the level of the examination. And also have an idea of marks distribution for various topics of the subject and prepare accordingly in the respective areas. Previous year papers are also made available on the university website www.uohyd.ernet.in

University of Hyderabad Notification for PG courses and other courses of 2010-11
Notification has been released by University of Hyderabad, for the post graduation and other courses for the academic year 2010-11. The courses offered are 5 year integrated MA, M.Sc, other PG courses, Advanced PG diploma and PG diploma courses, M.Tech Programmes, M.Phil Programmes, Ph.D. Programmes, Integrated M.Tech/PhD courses.
Entrance exams to be held from 1st June to 7th June, 2010 at prescribed centres. Candidates who are appearing for final year examination of qualifying exam can also apply for the entrance test. Reservations are applicable as per governments rule.
Application forms along with prospectus can be obtained on payment of Rs. 400 and it is Rs. 150 in the case of SC/ST/PH candidates. Applications forms are available at academic section, office of the controller of examinations, Administration building, University of Hyderabad. They c an be obtained through post by sending a requisition letter, self addressed stamp and DD taken for Rs. 450, for SC/ST/PH candidates it is Rs. 200, taken in favor of Finance Officer, University of Hyderabad. Application form can also be downloaded from the official website of the university. Filled in application form should be sent to Dy. Registrar, Academics & Exams, along with a DD taken for Rs. 200, for SC/ST/PH candidates, it is Rs. 75.
Sale of application forms commences from 7th April 2010 and the last date for issuing them is 26th April 2010. Filled in application forms should be submitted on or before 3rd May 2010.

The School of Management Studies (SMS) at the University of Hyderabad offers two-year full time MBA Programme.

Eligibility: Candidates (a) should have completed a three year bachelor’s degree programme (or its equivalent) in any discipline in an institution recognized by the Association of Indian Universities/AICTE. Those completing their final examinations by June, 2009 can also apply, (b) should have applied for CAT-2008 scheduled on 16.11.2008 (The IIMs CAT advertisement appeared in leading newspapers on 14th July, 2008)

How to apply: Prospectus-cum-application forms can be obtained in person or by post from 13th October 2008 on all working days from the Deputy Registrar (Acad. & Exam) University of Hyderabad, PO: Central University, Hyderabad-500046, against cash payment up to 20.11.2008. Each copy costs Rs. 300/- for General and OBC Category candidates and Rs. 50/- for SC/ST/PH category candidates. The same can also be obtained by ordinary post upto 17th November, 2008 from the Deputy Registrar (Acad. & Exams) by sending; (a) a requisition, (b) one self-addressed slip, (c) a crossed demand draft for Rs. 350/- for General and OBC category candidates and Rs. 100/- for SC/ST/PH category candidates drawn in favour of the Finance Officer, University of Hyderabad payable at the State Bank of India, HU Campus Branch (Code No. 5916), Hyderabad-46 or Andhra Bank, Nampally Branch (Code No. 378), Hyderabad-500001.

The Prospectus-cum-Application form can also be downloaded from the University’s website at www.uohyd.ernet.in. from 13th October, 2008. The downloaded application form, duly filled in as per the instructions and with supporting papers should be sent to the Deputy Registrar (Acad. & Exams) together with a Bank Draft of Rs. 150/- in the case of General Category and OBC and Rs. 50/- in the case of SC/ST/PH category. Last date for sale of applications and receipt of filled in applications by the University is 20-11-2008.
