Established in the year 2008, Rayalaseema University has completed 30 years under the stewardship of two great universities, Sri Venkateswara University and Sri Krishnadevaraya University. Rayalaseema University is named after the Rayas of Vijayanagara Empire – one of the most powerful rulers of South India during the 14-16 centuries AD. The University has an academic history of 35 years and is located in an extensive campus of about 356 acres of land. At present the University envisages its growth in terms of promoting equity and access, relevance, quality and accountability to redeem the irredeemable backwardness of the region through democratization ofhigher education.
