Armed Force Medical College in Pune, Maharashtra-AFMC notification for the MBBS entrance Exam 2010.
Armed Force Medical College (AFMC) in Pune, Maharashtra has issued the notification for the MBBS entrance exam 2010. It an entrance test conducted for admission into MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery) programme, offered in the upcoming session commencing from August 2010.

May 2, 2010 (Admission is done on the basis of merit obtained by the candidate in the entrance test followed by interview)

How to Apply
Interested candidates can download the application form from the website: www.afmc.nic.in. Thereafter, the duly filled application must be sent along with a DD of Rs 250 drawn in favor of “Commandant, AFMC” payable to Pune(The Demand Draft must bear the Code Number of issuing Bank.). Application form and prospectus are also available for sale in the selected General / Head Post Offices of all the major cities (list of the selected post offices and cities available in the website: www.afmc.nic.in). The completely filled application form by registered AD / speed post must reach the Officer in Charge Admissions, Dean Office, AFMC, Pune – 411 040 on or before the last date mentioned. For more details about the application / admission procedure applicants are requested to visit the aforementioned website.

MBBS Admission Notification of Armed Forces Medical College August 2010
Eligibility :
Applications are invited for admission to the MBBS course at Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune, commencing from 02 Aug 2010. Total 130 candidates (including a maximum of 25 girls) will be selected. All the 105 boys and 25 girls admitted to Armed Forces Medical College, Pune have compulsory liability to serve as commissioned officers in the Armed Forces Medical Services on graduation. The type of commission will depend upon the vacancies available and merit-cum-option at the final MBBS examination. The liability of the Short Service Commission (SSC) officers passing out of AFMC to serve the Armed Forces Medical Services would be seven (7) years. All candidates admitted to the college are required to execute a bond to this effect for an amount of Rs. 15 lacs (Rupees Fifteen lacs) at the time of joining the college. Students removed from service liability due to any reason will have to pay the bond money as per conditions laid down by Govt of India.
Ten seats are reserved for Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe candidates who also have similar service liability and have to fulfil the requirements of medical fitness, age, educational qualification and qualifying the entranceexamination as per details given in the prospectus.
