New Zealand College of Business (also known as NZCB) is located in Christchurch city central. NZCB is recognised by both the New Zealand Ministry of Education and the New Zealand Qualification Authority (NZQA). It is an institute which provides students with Business Administration Courses, from Level 4 to Level 7 – equivalent to bachelor degree Level.

Application Forms

Send enquiries at least 15 to 18 months before the proposed date of admission. There are three ways to get application forms.

Requesting Application Forms via email : You can request application forms from the universities website. Most universities have a form on their website which can be completed online to request application material.


Requesting Application Forms via Air Mail : The other way is to send a request by airmail for application material. The request should contain a brief description of your educational background, academic objectives, source of financial support, English proficiency and standardized test scores.

 Eligibility


Most New Zealand universities accept the three-year graduation system for entry into the MBA programme. So, if you have a three-year bachelor degree like Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) or Bachelor of Science (BSc), this is acceptable as it is considered equivalent to a New Zealand Bachelor (Ordinary) Degree.

However, some universities may require an Honours degree. This is usually equivalent to B.Com. (H), B.Sc. (H) or a four year degree course like B.E.

For most good business schools in New Zealand, a good first degree from a leading university in India or its equivalent is essential.


 Standard tests:
 International students are also required to take one of the two English Language tests, either TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) or IELTS (International English Testing System). Every university has its own minimum scores with respect to these tests.

GMAT : This test is required for admission to many MBA programs in New Zealand. 

TOEFL : This test is mandatory for International students applying to a University in New Zealand. The minimum score required by most universities for admission is 577 (Paper-based test) or 240 (Computer-based test).

IELTS : For most courses and universities, International students are required to take IELTS (International English Language Test) which is regularly administered by the British Council. A minimum score of 6.5 is usually required by most universities.

MBA in New Zealand Eligibility

GMAT is accepted and recommended by some New Zealand universities for admission to the MBA program.
TOEFL/IELTS:
You need to take either the TOEFL or IELTS for admission to an MBA program in New Zealand. This is required for almost all business schools. This mandatory for most schools even if you have studied in English medium throughout.
