he June 15 total lunar eclipse will be visible to observers in Europe, Africa, southern Asia, and Australia. This will be one of the darkest eclipses ever, second only to the total lunar eclipse on July 16, 2000. During the totality of the eclipse, the moon will pass through the center of the earth’s shadow.
The best location to view the eclipse will be in the northernmost region of the “entire-eclipse zone” in central Asia, as well as Eastern Europe and northeastern Africa.
Many people in South America, Western Africa and Europe will view the eclipse at moon rise, while observers in Eastern Asia and Australia will see the eclipse at moonset.

Western Europe will see the moon rise already totally eclipsed and covering a portion of the ninth-magnitude global cluster NGC 6401, while those in southern Africa and Australia will see the moon slip past the cluster untouched. It is important to note that in order to see the cluster, you will need at least a 100-mm telescope.

The first total lunar eclipse of 2011 is set to put on a spectacle for much of the world tonight, being the longest in nearly 11 years. But just because it isn't visible from North America, doesn't mean you won't be able to watch the lunar eclipse too.

According to the AP, the moment of totality -- when the Earth's shadow completely blocks the moon -- will last 1 hour and 40 minutes during tonight's lunar eclipse. The last time a lunar eclipse lasted as long was in July 2000, when totality occurred for just 7 minutes longer.
According to Space.com, the lunar eclipse will begin about 1:24 p.m. EDT (1724 GMT) and finish around 7 p.m. EDT (2300 GMT). The lunar eclipse will peak at 4:12 p.m. EDT (2012 GMT).

The longest total lunar eclipse in a decade will occur today, June 15^th. During the eclipse, the Earth's shadow will completely cover the Moon for one hour and 40 minutes and partially cover it for three hours and 40 minutes. The path that the Moon is taking through Earth's shadow is almost directly through the shadow's center, making for the longest possible path and therefor the longest duration. On June 15, Earth's shadow will start to darken the moon at 18:23 universal time (UT) (2:22 p.m. Eastern Time).

Engineering Agriculture and Medicine Common Entrance Test 2011, popularly known as EAMCET, was conducted on May 8, 2011. Every year, JNT University Hyderabad (Andhra Pradesh) conducts this entrance test on behalf of APSCHE (Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education).

A total of 2,70,022 students appeared for EAMCET 2011 for the Engineering Stream, with 9,073 candidates absent out of a total of 2,79,095 candidates. For the medical stream, 65,772 candidates appeared for EAMCET 2011, while 2,858 students were absent.

The results of this year's IIT-JEE will be declared on Wednesday morning and will decide the fate of around 4.85 lakh aspirants.
The examinations were held at 1051 centres across the country.
For the first time, students will get to see their scanned answer sheets online two days after the results are declared.
The successful candidates will be bagging seats in one of the 16 IITs across the country. Among the more presitgious IITs are the ones in Delhi, Kanpur, Madras, Roorkee and Kharagpur.

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) students might not have to wait long for their results. According to the CBSE website, results of the Class XII examinations conducted in 2011 by the board are likely to be announced on May 23.

A total of 10,61,566 appeared for the CBSE Class 10 examinations this year, out of which over six lakh students opted for the CCE, i.e., the school-based evaluation.

A total of 7,69,929 students appeared for the Class XII board examinations this year.

he results of the SSC public examination will be announced on Saturday at 11.30 am. Nearly 13 lakh students appeared for the exams held in March. The AP Online and e-Seva centres will provide the results with grades and subject-wise marks. BSNL will also provide results and marks through the IVRS and SMS. Students can dial 1255225 from landline or mobile phones. To know the results through SMS they must type SSC, give space and then type roll number and send it to 55352 or 56300. Airtel users can get results by dialing 52800 and by sending SMS to 52222.
